About me
I was raised in Mexico City,
surrounded by the smell of coffee, the hum of editing rooms, and the warm chaos of film sets. My dad is a feature film director, and he used to take me along to shoots and editing sessions—where I learned that storytelling wasn’t just a profession, but a way of life. My earliest lessons in pacing and emotion came from watching reels being cut by hand and meals being shared between takes.
I studied Communications with a focus on Cinema at Universidad Iberoamericana, and later took workshops in LA with Syd Field and Christopher Vogler to sharpen my narrative instincts. My path as a director started somewhere between the icy slopes of a volcano (literally) and my kitchen table, where I once hosted pop-up dinners—because food, like film, is about connection.
My breakout came with a viral documentary for an organic gum brand that reached 17 million views without a dollar spent on media, and a mountain film that toured festivals worldwide. Since then, I’ve directed campaigns for brands like Coca-Cola, Google, Toyota, Heinz-Kraft, McCormick, KFC, and Corona.
My work lives where reality meets rhythm—it’s emotional, grounded, and textured. I’m drawn to raw performances, especially from non-actors, and to those fleeting, honest moments that feel almost accidental. I love using color, natural light, and movement to create stories that feel lived-in and cinematic.
My work has been recognized across both advertising and film, with Effie Awards, Gold at Círculo de Oro, Bronze at IAB, and a Global Excellence Gold Award. In 2025, my Shades of Red campaign for Coca-Cola was honored at Cannes Lions with one Gold and three Bronze awards. I’ve also been nominated for Best Female Director at El Ojo de Iberoamérica.
Today I live in Mexico City with my husband, a composer, and our dog, a rescued rural philosopher. When I’m not directing, you’ll probably find me cooking, always looking for new ways to tell stories that move, resonate, and linger.
